The success of the Genesis Program is a direct result of the support of both businssess and individuals alike. The RTF is currently seeking computer and computer hardware donations, as well as monetary donations to fund the refurbishment of donated equipment.

Donated Computer Requirements

All computers must meet a certain level of technical performance before being considered acceptable for donation. These requirements are:

- Processor: 1 GHz
- Memory: 512 MB
- Hard Drive: 20 GB
- Working Ethernet Card
- Monitor
- Windows XP or Later Operating system
- Keyboard
- Mouse


Computer Hardware Needs

Computers:

- Working Motherboard and Processor
- Processor Must be at least 1 GHz
- Casing must be in a functionally sound state


Monitors:

- At least 15 inches
- In working condition


Computer Equipment:

- Hard Drives** (20 GB Minimum)
- Operating System Licenses (Must include licenses key and certificate of authenticity)
- Memory (256 MB Sticks or Higher)
- Sound Cards (PCI)
- Video Cards
- Ethernet Cards (100 MB/s Minimum, PCI)
- CD/DVD Drives
- USB Thumb Drives (256 MB Minimum)
- Keyboards
- Mice
- Cables (Power, IDE, SATA, USB, Ethernet)
- Printers (With cables)


**Note: Our volunteers format hard drives during the installation of the operating system. This is a very basic format. Any other level of formatting or data deletion is the responsibility of the donor. Casing must be in a functionally sound state

Volunteer Needs

we are constantly seeking volunteers to help in the refurbishment of donated computers. The refurbishment of these computers can be done in your own free time or on regularly scheduled group work days. Volunteers must have a basic knowledge of computer hardware and software and feel comfortable installing Windows XP and various software applications.
