Through DonorsChoose.org, the RTF helped in building a new maker space by sending a 3D printer to a rural elementary school in Virginia!
A note from the teacher:
Dear Rural Technology Fund,
Thank you so much for helping to fund our 3-D printer purchase! We are excited to create a new MakerSpace in our library next year. This will be a great addition to the project. It will give our students the opportunity to see technology in action. I am hoping it will excite them to want to learn and do more in the future. Most have never seen anything like 3-D printing before, so it will be a mind-boggling experience for them. I look forward to sharing more once it arrives, and we begin to learn how to use it.
